Nevermind that it snowed yesterday, I finally got the 128 registered and licensed in my name properly after hibernating in a barn for the winter. Started up without need for a boost , which was a pleasant surprise.
Now I just need to get some new tires for the wheels I already picked up and put a pair of RE-71Rs from the WRX on the r ears of the other set of wheels I got to be ready for autoX in a couple of weeks. I should probably give it a mechanical once over too, though the mechanic that did the safety inspection seemed reasonably impressed as it sits.

TLMC or PITL for auto-x? PITL had new venue(Mohawk Casino) & it’s way bigger and smoother.

I don’t know if it’ll be the same for the new venue but PITL registrations tend to fill up fast, they’re limiting entry #s this year ( iirc) and I tend to register last minute so I’m likely goin g to TLMC, as usual. Will see as we get closer to that weekend - I would like to check out the new lot.

This makes me miss my 128i. The managing director for the company I’m visiting this week has a Vermilion Red Metallic E90 328i, that’s not helping either.

I’ll be doing a full season with PITL this year. They started limiting entry’s last year. The PITL & TLMC schedule over lap lots this year, I think 2 events don't run on the same days.

The overlap helps keep attendance numbers more reasonable (at TLMC at least) so it might be intentional, which I appreciate. If I do make it out to a PITL event I’ll be sure to let you know.

PITL atleast copes well with the large groups. Between m arshalling, shooting cars, & ride alongs the time passes by well.

They do indeed, it is a well run group. I just like having more runs, TLMC is similarly well run and I get on well with the organizers and regulars at the club events. It’ll be fun to see if I can be competitive in this car - it’s not known to be particularly competitive in D-street so it’ll be fun to chase that goal.

I have a future post that's not going to help your 1-series longing...

Swap the E90 out for a 1er?

Great looking car!

Not quite. Let's just say I'm a sucker for N52s.

Looks like I’ll be there tomorrow. TLMC got cancelled for tomorrow so I signed up for PITL. Hit me up if you want to ride along. I’ll be in the WRX, I didn’t get around to getting my RE71Rs transferred to the BMW wheels.

Re71R’s tomorrow would not be the best idea . It will be cool & wet. Look for my stripes, what class will you be in?

RE71Rs in the wet work shockingly well, though mine are quite worn so we’ll see. If there isn’t a large amount of standing water I should be OK, if not I’ll put the Michelins back on.
I think I’m in C-stock if I read the rules right - it’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been to a PITL event. I’m sure they’ll correct me if I’m wrong.
You’re probably the only Juke out there so I’m sure I’ll see you. :P

Look for the over the top stripe. You won't miss it.
